Are you practical, proactive and proud of high standards?
Do you enjoy a hands-on role where no two days are the same?

As Deputy Site Manager, you will:
• Help keep the Civic Centre safe, secure and welcoming for all users
• Take responsibility for opening/locking the building, setting up rooms and checking facilities
• Carry out practical tasks including maintenance, basic repairs, gardening and site checks
• Provide excellent customer service, liaising with hirers and supporting community events

• Be a visible, approachable presence — proactive in solving problems and ensuring everything runs smoothly
We are looking for someone who is:
• Hands-on and physically fit — comfortable with lifting, manual handling, working at height and working outdoors
• Reliable and energetic — with a strong “get up and go” approach
• Confident and approachable — able to deal with the public and handle situations with tact and authority
• Organised and dependable — able to balance practical work with record-keeping and compliance checks
• Flexible — happy to work evenings, weekends (up to 2 per month) and varied shifts as part of a 4-week rota
What we offer:
• £15.25 per hour, average 27 hours per week (Average salary of £21,411 per annum)
• Enrolment to NEST pension (3% employer contribution)
• Generous annual leave entitlement of 21 days rising to 25 after 5 years, plus bank holidays, pro rata
• Uniform and equipment provided
• The chance to take pride in maintaining a well-loved community venue at the heart of Wombourne
This is a hands-on management role — we need someone proactive, practical and ready to lead from the front.
