How to dispose of batteries and vapes safely
🔋 There are a number of options to safely dispose of small household batteries and vapes: 🔋
• Place in a carrier bag (not a black sack) and leave at the side of your bin on your collection day. The crews will place this in a separate part of the truck for onward recycling.
• Take to Bilbrook or Cannock recycling centre (which also accept larger industrial / car batteries).
This service is not currently available at Wombourne Recycling Centre.
• Take to a supermarket, which has special battery bins front of store.
⚠️ Keep electricals and batteries out of your bin as they can cause fires, damage infrastructure and endanger lives. ⚠️
