Joint Retirement at the Parish Council

End of an era!
Yesterday, we marked a special occasion at Wombourne Parish Council as we celebrated the retirement of two long-serving and much-valued colleagues — Eddie and Judy — who, between them, have dedicated an incredible 30 years to the Parish Council.
Eddie, our Superintendent, joined in January 2009 and has been a key part of the team ever since — supporting thousands of events, maintaining the Civic Centre to a high standard and always going the extra mile to help.
Judy, Assistant to the Clerk, joined in August 2010 and has been a vital part of the office team for nearly 15 years. Her attention to detail, calm approach and dedication — particularly during the challenges of the pandemic — have been invaluable.
Both Eddie and Judy have played an essential role in the smooth running of the Parish Council and their contribution has left a lasting legacy.
We thank them for their years of outstanding service and wish them both a happy, healthy and well-earned retirement. Thank you to everyone who came to their get-together to wish them a fond farewell.
