Wombourne Parish Council was originally established in 1894 and took its present form in 1974. We represent the first tier of local government, being the closest to the community.
The Parish Council Office is located at Wombourne Civic Centre, Gravel Hill, Wombourne, WV5 9HA and is staffed on a part-time basis by the Clerk to the Council, Rachael Wright, the Assistant Clerk, Judy Vasiljevic, and the Administrative Assistant, Sam Berry.
The Parish is made up of two wards: North Ward (eight seats), and the South Ward (seven seats), a total of 15 Parish Councillors in all. You can find information about your Councillors here – Parish Councillor contact details.
You can contact the Clerk by telephone on 01902 896 300 or by email at enquiries@wombourneparishcouncil.org.uk.
The Parish Council Office is usually open from 8.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday, unless the staff are on holiday or absent from the office, then the opening hours will be published in a news post on social media. There is an answering machine service should you wish to leave a message at other times.
Full Council Meetings start at 7.00pm with a public participation session included in the meeting. The meetings take place in the Council Chamber, adjacent to the Civic Centre. The agendas are published on this website, so please check if you wish to attend a meeting.

The Parish Council owns and manages Poolhouse Play Area and the public conveniences in the village, and leases Bratch Park, Brickbridge Playing Fields and changing rooms, as well as the Civic Centre Complex, which houses the Parish Council Offices, function and meeting rooms.
The annual Christmas Lights Switch On in Wombourne is organised by the Parish Council and the illuminations in the trees to the front of the Civic Centre, around the Cricket Green and on Windmill Bank are all provided and paid for by the Council.
The Parish Council annually support Small Business Saturday (usually the first Saturday in December) to encourage local residents into the village shops, as well as Wombourne Carnival. We provide its facilities free of charge for this popular annual event. The Parish Council also supports The Best Kept Village Committee in keeping the village neat and tidy by providing an annual grant to the group and complimentary facilities for their monthly meetings.
Wombourne Parish Council supports the interests of local residents by responding to consultations on planning applications, as well as local plans and strategies that may affect our area.
Parish Councillors are elected Members, who receive no payments or expenses. They are elected every four years with the next elections being in May 2027.
