Councillor Alan Peace (South Ward)
Councillor Alan Peace sits on the council’s Planning and Development and Recreation and Amenities Committee. He is also the council’s appointed representative to Wombourne Best Kept Village Committee.
Councillor Barry Bond MBE (North Ward)
Councillor Barry Bond MBE sits on the Council’s Civic Centre Management Committee (where he is Chairman) and the Finance and General Purposes Committee.
Councillor Barry Bond MBE also represents Wombourne as a District Councillor at South Staffordshire Council.
Councillor Daisy Perry (South Ward)
Councillor Daisy Perry sits on the council’s Civic Centre Management Committee and Recreation and Amenities Committee. She is also one of the council’s representatives on Wombourne and District Community Association and is a Liaison for Wombourne retailers.
Councillor Dan Kinsey BEM (North Ward)
Councillor Dan Kinsey BEM is Deputy Chairman (having been Chairman last year) and therefore sits on all of the Council’s Committees.
Councillor Dan Kinsey BEM also represents Wombourne as District Councillor at South Staffordshire Council.
Councillor Ed Hughes (North Ward)
Councillor Ed Hughes sits on the council’s Planning and Development Committee and the Recreation and Amenities Committee. He is also a liaison for the parish council with Staffordshire Police.
Councillor Elizabeth Keeling (South Ward)
Councillor Elizabeth Keeling sits on the Council’s Finance and General Purposes Committee and the Recreation and Amenities Committee. She is also one of the liaisons for Wombourne retailers.
Councillor Ian Sadler (North Ward)
Councillor Ian Sadler sits on the council’s Civic Centre Management Committee and the Planning and Development Committee. He is also a representative of the council at the Friends of Wom Brook Group.
Councillor Jan Evans (South Ward)
Councillor Jan Evans sits on the Council’s Finance and General Purposes Committee and the Civic Centre Management Committee. She is also one of the representatives for the council for Wombourne Carnival Committee.
Councillor Mark Evans (South Ward)
Councillor Mark Evans is the Chairman of Wombourne Parish Council and therefore sits on all of the Council’s Committees.
Councillor Mark Evans also represents Wombourne as a District Councillor at South Staffordshire Council.
Councillor Martin Perry (North Ward)
Councillor Martin Perry sits on the Council’s Recreation and Amenities Committee (where he is Chairman), and the Civic Centre Management Committee.
Councillor Martin Perry also represents Wombourne as a District Councillor at South Staffordshire Council.
He is also one of the representatives for the council at the Wombourne and District Community Association.

Councillor Mary Davies is Chairman of the Council’s Finance and General Purposes Committee and also sits on the Civic Centre Management Committee and the Staffing Committee. She is also one of the representatives for the council on the Wolverhampton Business Airport Consultative Committee and Wombourne Carnival Committee.

Councillor Matt Powell sits on the Council’s Finance and General Purposes Committee and the Planning and Development Committee. He is also one of the council’s representatives on the Wolverhampton Business Airport Consultative Committee.
Councillor Mike Davies (South Ward)
Councillor Mike Davies sits on the Council’s Planning and Development Committee (where he is Chairman) and the Finance and General Purposes Committee.
Councillor Mike Davies also represents Wombourne as a District Councillor at South Staffordshire Council. He also represents the Parish Council at Wombourne Charity Trustees and at Giggetty Action Group.

Councillor Peter Harkness sits on the Council’s Finance and General Purposes Committee and Recreation and Amenities Committee.
Councillor Vince Merrick (South Ward)
Councillor Vince Merrick is our Deputy Chairman and, therefore, sits on all of the Council’s committees.
Councillor Vince Merrick also represents Wombourne as a District Councillor at South Staffordshire Council.
He is also a liaison for the Parish Council with Staffordshire Police and Giggetty Action Group.
Our Staff
Rachael Wright - Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer
The Clerk to the Council is the Proper Officer of the Council and as such is under a statutory duty to carry out all the functions of a council’s Proper Officer, and in particular to serve or issue all the notifications required by law.
The Clerk is responsible for ensuring that the instructions of the Council in connection with its function as a Parish Council are carried out.
The Clerk is expected to advise the Council on, and assist in the formation of, overall policies to be followed in respect of the council’s activities, and in particular, to produce all the information required for making effective decisions and to implement constructively all decisions.
The Clerk is the Responsible Financial Officer and accountable for all financial records of the Council and the proper administration of its finances.
The Clerk is accountable to the Council for the effective management of all its resources and will report to them as and when required.
The Clerk is based in the Civic Centre, Gravel Hill, Wombourne, WV5 9HA.
Lauren Liggett - Deputy Clerk
The Deputy Clerk to the Parish Council provides essential administrative and financial support to ensure the smooth and lawful operation of the Council.
Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, managing bookkeeping and VAT returns, and processing staff salaries in accordance with statutory requirements.
The role also supports the Clerk in upholding good governance, compliance with legal obligations and the effective delivery of local services.

How to become a councillor
A parish council is the tier of local authority closest to its community as it elects representatives from within that community. Parish councils are democracy on your doorstep. Anyone can stand as a candidate provided they meet the qualification requirements or you can find out more by contacting the local borough electoral services department.
You should be:
- Aged over 18.
- A British, Commonwealth citizen, or Euro-national citizen (who is a registered elector)
- Resident for 12 months prior to the day of election – either in the parish or within 3 miles of the boundary.
- Occupied land or premises for 12 months as owner or tenant – either in the parish or within 3 miles of the boundary
- Had a principal place of work – either in the parish or within 3 miles of the boundary.
You cannot become a councillor if:
- You hold a paid office with the council.
- If you are subject to a bankruptcy restrictions order or an interim order creates disqualification which dates from the judgement or execution and generally ends one year after the relevant order is made.
- If you have within five years before the election or since election been convicted in the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man of any offence and been sentenced to not less than three months imprisonment (whether suspended or not) without the option of a fine.
- Imprisonment probably includes any type of custodial sentence.
- This disqualification begins when the ordinary period for making an appeal is finally dismissed or abandoned or fails for want of prosecution.
