It’s that time of year again… We’re calling on YOU to nominate someone special for the Joan Williams Civic Award! 🏆💚 Do you know someone who goes above and beyond to make Wombourne a better place? Whether they’re volunteering their time to run a local group, giving lifts to those in need or working hard to keep our village beautiful – we want to hear about them!
Perhaps they’re always the first to lend a hand with errands or they take pride in keeping our community clean by planting bulbs, trimming hedges or clearing litter. Whoever it is, if they make a difference to the people and places around them, they could be our next Community Hero!
👑 About the Award:
This prestigious award, renamed in 1980 in memory of the late Councillor Joan Williams, celebrates those who make a lasting impact on our village. The winner will be presented with a plaque and certificate at the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council in May.
📝 How to Nominate:
Simply email enquiries@wombourneparishcouncil.org.uk with your nominee’s name and reasons why you believe they deserve the award. Alternatively, you can post your nomination to Wombourne Civic Centre, Gravel Hill, Wombourne, WV5 9HA.
📅 Deadline:
All nominations must be received by Friday 21st February.
