Who is your community hero?
A huge thank you from the Parish Council to everyone who wrote in to nominate their special someone for our Joan Williams Civic Award! This year, we have had a record number of nominations for 11 different candidates! This just shows how many fantastic individuals have been recognised for their wonderful work in Wombourne and we are very grateful for their continued effort and support. Here are our 2023-2024 nominees and the reasons they were nominated:

⭐ Lyndon Hawkes – Litter-picking, pathways, assisting residents & reporting to District Council

⭐ Marlene Longman – Wombourne & District Community Association
⭐ Helena Plater – BKV, litter-picking, pathways, roadsides, planters, reporting to District Council & assisting with Parish village events
⭐ Richard Wherton – Carnival Committee, Santa’s Sleigh, BKV, Wombourne & District Community Association, Wombourne URC & Wombourne Conservative Association
