Joan Williams Civic Award
NOMINATE YOUR COMMUNITY HERO!
It’s that exciting time again where we ask you to nominate someone special for our Joan Williams Civic Award! Who do you know who dedicates their free time to making Wombourne better? Maybe they volunteer to run a community group or give lifts to help those in need make medical appointments. Maybe they’re always on hand to help or run errands for people? Maybe their busy trimming hedges, planting bulbs or clearing litter as they take real pride
Β in our village.
This award was first instigated by the late Councillor Joan Williams in 1980. As a mark of respect and recognition for her thirty six years as a Parish Council, it was agreed it should be renamed the Joan Williams Civic Award.
The winner will be invited to our Annual Meeting of the Parish Council in May to be presented with a plaque and certificate. Please nominate your winner by emailing their name and reasons why you feel they are worthy of this award by Friday 22nd March.
You can email the Clerk on enquiries@wombourneparishcouncil.org.uk or via post to Wombourne Civic Centre, Gravel Hill, Wombourne, WV5 9HA.
If you have any queries, please give us a call on 01902 896300. We look forward to receiving this year’s nominations!
