Conexus run tutor groups from Wombourne Civic Centre every week during term time and have a few sessions booked at the end of August to get you ready for the new school year.

Who can apply?
You could be eligible for help if you meet ONE of the below criteria:
• Gross annual household income below £31K
• Have an eligible income related means tested benefit
• Someone in the household has a long-term illness i.e cardiovascular problems, respiratory issues, limited mobility, weakened immune system or Immunosuppression
 
How to apply?
• Residents can contact Community Homes Solutions on 0115 718 1822, who will be able to provide on call applications for those with limited access to internet OR provide residents with a link for an online application.

Award-Winning Cemetery

Sytch Lane Cemetery wins an award!

South Staffordshire Council are very happy to announce that Sytch Lane Cemetery, on their first year of applying, has been successful in achieving a prestigious Green Flag Award! 💚
This award scheme recognises and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for the management of recreational outdoor spaces across the UK and around the world. Sytch Lane Cemetery can now be added to the list of award-winning sites, alongside the Wom Brook Walk and Baggeridge Country Park!

Being awarded a Green Flag for the cemetery has been a real joint effort between the Bereavement Services and the Street Scene teams and is something to feel extremely proud of. 🏆

Join us for the unveiling of our brand new defibrillator

🚑  Exciting News for Our Community!  🚑
Join us on Thursday 15th August at 11am at Wombourne Civic Centre for the official unveiling of our brand new defibrillator!
This life-saving device has been made possible thanks to the incredible efforts of Donna Eccleston, who runs DME Fitness classes at the Civic Centre.
Donna worked with Wombourne Parish Council to secure permission for the defib, which was generously donated by the Jet Singh Trust . The installation was kindly carried out by local electricians, R Yates and Co, who, along with other key contributors, will be present at the unveiling.
We’re also grateful to @Goode Tutoring , Fuel Bank Foundation, and Wombourne and District Community Association for their generous donations, which will support the maintenance of the defib, junior pads, and a bleed kit.
Come along to show your support for this vital addition to our community and meet the people who made it happen! 💛
