Midlands Air Ambulance Fundraiser

Blush Beauty Rooms

This December, join the team at Blush Beauty Rooms on Station Road to remember a loved one, raise funds for Midlands Air Ambulance and honour Harry Taylor. Share a message on an angel in their window, sharing memories, lessons learned or how much you miss them and they will donate £2 to Midlands Air Ambulance for each angel.

This Week’s Christmas Carol Concert

Don’t miss it!

We hope to see lots of you this Thursday evening at Wombourne Civic Centre for our Christmas Carol Concert! Wombourne Parish Council and Churches Together have put together a very festive evening with some fantastic performances form our local schools and community groups. There may even be a very special visitor at the end! 🎅 It’s FREE to attend and you’re all welcome to stay for a hot drink and a biscuit afterwards, so pop in this Thursday 5th December. Doors open at 6pm, ready for a 6.30pm start. See you all there!

Don’t forget we have lots going on next Saturday in the village! We have a Christmas trail to find Santa’s Toys in our shop windows, a Christmas Craft Fair and two showings of Cinderella!
 
You can be in with a chance to win a family hamper containing gifts from our very kind retailers, if you take part in Santa’s Toy Trail! Trail sheets and a free Christmas pencil to do the trail will be available from our Parish Councillors in the Council Chamber on the Civic Centre car-park between 11am and 2pm. This is also where our Craft Fair is happening and both are FREE!
 
Then our pantomime, Cinderella, starts at 3.30pm and 6.15pm in the Civic Centre! All ticket must be pre-purchased, so please call 01902 896300 to get your’s before midday on Thursday 5th December.
 
While you’re doing the trail around the shops, please pop in and support our local retailers. Don’t forget to post your completed trail sheets in the letterbox by the Civic Centre. #shoplocal

A massive THANK YOU to all our residents, who attended our Christmas Lights Switch On last night! There was a wonderful atmosphere in the village, as lots of you enjoyed the fireworks and visited our retailers, who stayed open late for the occasion. A huge THANK YOU to all our fabulous retailers who took part in this year’s Best Dressed Christmas Window Competition! 🎄✨ The village looks absolutely amazing and the festive spirit is truly shining! 🌟
 
Our chairman, Councillor Vince Merrick, has had the pleasure of visiting each window with the help of Vice Chairman, Councillor Martin Perry. After much deliberation, here are the winners:

Join us for the Christmas Lights Switch-On this evening and get ready for a magical evening full of festive fun!
 
📅 Date: Friday, 29th November – TONIGHT!!
📍 Location: Wombourne Civic Centre, Wombourne
🎶 Event Details:
– 5.40pm: St Bernadette’s School Choir will kick off the festivities!
– 6.00pm: Watch Ethan and Rosie from Cherry Trees School switch on the lights with our Chairman Councillor Vince Merrick, followed by a stunning fireworks display!
 
🍪 Don’t miss: Free mince pies after the fireworks (please note: these may contain gluten, dairy, and nuts).
 
✅ Helpful Information:
– Wrap up warm and enjoy the event safely! Volunteers will be on hand—please follow their instructions.
– Free village toilets will be open late (Civic Centre toilets will not be accessible).
– Parking is unavailable on-site— please walk if you can. The car park will close from 4.00pm and all vehicles must be removed to allow for setup.
 
❌ Things to Remember:
– Respect safety barriers, tape, and instructions—they’re for your protection.
– Be mindful of the fireworks if you’re bringing a dog or live nearby.
