Carbon Literacy Training

Sben’s Carbon Literacy Training is available to Staffordshire businesses of any size.

Their course dates are:
10th & 11th December 2024 – timings 09.30am start, finishing at 1.30pm. Online course.
15th January 2025 – timings 09.30am start, finishing at 5.00pm, face to face course at Burton Albion Football Club
11th & 12th February 2025 – timings 09.30am start, finishing at 1.30pm – Online course.
11th March 2025 – timings 09.30am start, finishing at 5.00pm, face to face course at The Moat House, Acton Trussell.
 
Please note: Their online courses are for two four-hour morning sessions on consecutive days.

Order your tickets for Cinderella before they’re all gone! You don’t want your Prince Charmings and Princesses to miss out on all the fun! It’s happening at Wombourne Civic Centre on Saturday 7th December. We have an afternoon 3.30pm and evening 6.15pm performance and still tickets available for both, but more for the evening show. Please call 01902 896300 to reserve your’s! 🎫 It’s £10 per child and £12 for anyone 17 years and over. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Payments can be made via card or bank transfer and doors will open 15 minutes before the start time. The bar will be open for drinks and they take cash and card payments. If you have already paid, please remember to collect your tickets form the Parish Council office at the front of the Civic Centre. We look forward to seeing you all there! 😃

Gritting This Winter

🌨️🚗 Keeping Our Roads Safe This Winter 🌨️🚗

With winter here, we wanted to remind everyone that gritting the roads in our village is the responsibility of Staffordshire County Council, not the Parish Council. ❄️
 
If you have concerns or would like to report issues regarding gritting or request grit bins for your road or outside your school, you can contact the County Council directly via their website https://www.staffordshire.gov.uk/Homepage.aspx, phone line 0300111 8000 or email contactus@staffordshire.gov.uk.
 
We encourage residents to stay prepared and look out for one another during icy conditions. 🧤🛞 Thank you to all the crews, who work throughout the winter day and night gritting our roads. Your efforts are much appreciated.

New Baby & Infant Massage Class!

Stacey and Tracey have started a new Baby & Infant Massage Class in our Bourne Room at the Civic Centre. It’s on Mondays from 12.30pm till 1.30pm. Admission is £6.50 on a pay as you go basis. Judging for Wombourne’s Best Dressed Christmas Window Competition is happening this week, so make sure you’ve added those finishing touches and got this poster displayed. Our Chairman, Vince Merrick, and Vice Chairman, Martin Perry, will be taking a stroll around the village this week, so keep an eye out for them! The winner will be announced at next Friday’s Christmas Lights Switch On. Let’s make Wombourne sparkle! ✨
