Christmas Window Competition

ARE YOU READY RETAILERS? 🎅🎄

Judging for Wombourne’s Best Dressed Christmas Window Competition is happening this week, so make sure you’ve added those finishing touches and got this poster displayed. Our Chairman, Vince Merrick, and Vice Chairman, Martin Perry, will be taking a stroll around the village this week, so keep an eye out for them! The winner will be announced at next Friday’s Christmas Lights Switch On. Let’s make Wombourne sparkle! ✨

Our Brook Room

Looking for a place to hold a small session? Look no further! Here at the Civic Centre we have just the place. Our Brook Room holds up to 20 people and is available 6 days a week, including evenings! We currently have lots of meetings and training in this room, as well as a regular Craft & Chat Group and Philatelic Society! This popular room leads straight onto our spacious car-park and is next to toilets and a kitchen area. We even offer free use of Wi-Fi, hot water, cups, a flipchart stand, a whiteboard, a projector screen and an extension lead all to make your life easier! Our Christmas Party is just around the corner, so get your tickets ASAP! This is set to be a great night of festive fun, that you don’t want to miss! Personal Alarms Available Now

Good news! 😁

Another box of personal alarms have been kindly donated by the District Council. They are FREE to any South Staffordshire resident. If you would like a little extra security when out and about, especially now the nights are getting dark earlier, please call into the Civic Centre on Gravel Hill. Our Parish Council Office is on the left through the front doors of the building. The last few batches of personal alarms were very popular, so please call at your earliest convenience to avoid disappointment. Many thanks.

Small Business Saturday Excitement!

SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY IS 7TH DECEMBER! ❤️🧡💛💚💙

Be in with a chance of winning a family hamper containing gifts from our generous local retailers! Get your eagled-eyed hunters on the look out for Santa’s Toys, as they will be popping up in our shop windows very soon! You can collect your trail sheets and free Christmas pencil from our Parish Councillors between 11am and 2pm from the Council Chamber on the Civic Centre car-park, where there will also be a Christmas Craft Fair! Both Santa’s Toy Trail and the Christmas Craft Fair are absolutely FREE, so come in and join the fun!
 
While you’re doing the trail around the shops, please pop in and support our local retailers. Small Business Saturday is traditionally the hardest day of the year for them, as more and more people look online or head to the bigger shops for their Christmas shopping, so that would be much appreciated.
 
Our Christmas Panto, Cinderella, is also showing at 3.30pm and 6.15pm on this day, so it’s going to be a lively one in the village! Tickets must be bought beforehand and are still available for both shows, so call 01902 896300 to get your’s! Don’t miss it!

Christmas Carol Concert

Feeling festive at the Civic Centre!

Wombourne’s Christmas Carol Concert takes place at Wombourne Civic Centre on Thursday 5th December this year! 🎅 This is a FREE event that will really get your friends and family in the Christmas sprit! Doors open to the Wodehouse Suite at 6pm and it will start at 6.30pm. There will be some fantastic performances by our local community groups and schools, so come along and show your support, then stay afterwards for a hot drink and biscuits. We look forward to seeing lots of you there!

Poolhouse Park Closure

NEW POOLHOUSE PLAY EQUIPMENT

Great news! We have a start date to install the new play equipment at Poolhouse Park. The park will be fenced off today ready to start work on Monday 18th November. We expect it will be out of action for approximately one month. Apologies for any inconvenience, but you can look forward to the new park opening soon! 😁

NEW CLASS OPPORTUNITY! 😃

Our Bourne Room is the perfect size for baby and toddler groups, pilates and yoga classes, larger tuition groups and even drama classes! In fact, we have taken on two brand new new classes in the last few weeks, but we always have space for more. It’s only £17.50 per hour to hire and sessions must run for at least 8 weeks.
