Wombourne Parish Council are seeking to employ a Part Time Superintendent on a temporary basis to provide cover during a period of absence.

Cover is required immediately and could be for up to 3 months.

This is an interesting and varied role which requires the post holder to be physically fit and to be effective requires a methodical, thorough approach, an ability to use your own initiative and an enthusiasm for maintaining high standards.

Some of your duties will include opening and securing the Civic Centre and Council Chamber, moving furniture, grass cutting, weeding, general site maintenance including basic plumbing and electrics, litter picking and being present at functions as well as evening classes and meetings.

This is a part time position for a minimum of 6.5 hours a week to be worked as follows:  Sundays (9.00am to 9.30am and 9.30pm to 10pm) and Mondays (7.30am to 10.30am, 2.45pm to 3.15pm and 6.15pm to 8.15pm) and one weekend in four (Fridays and Saturdays) for a minimum of 6 hours each day, generally from 6.30pm to 12.30am, if required.

Cover will also be required for the Full Time Superintendent (day and evening cover required) over periods of annual leave or unplanned absence, which will require you to be available across 7 days a week, to include cover at weekend functions.

The salary is £11.54 per hour, with an annual leave entitlement of 21 days (pro-rata) plus Bank Holidays.

You will need to be able to reach site quickly in an emergency, therefore you must be required to hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have access to your own vehicle.
